Dear Sharla I have just seen you in London at the palace. You looked amazing. I don’t have thyroid but I know people who had good results with doctors that work in a different way not using Al these pharmaceutic remedies. You could try Dr Kim D’eramo or Dr Mark Hymann or other doctors that use this line of work. I have been all my life using natural therapies and I know that many times physical things have emotional issues behind it. I have seen people cured of several illnesses using EFT. I am just suggesting some possibilities. I think you are lovely.

Absolutely beautiful! The bathroom is gorgeous. I also love the sunken kotatsu. Japanese trad houses are so flexible with built in storage, sliding doors and movable furniture. I'd like to move in asap 😅.. if you don't mind a little suggestion: maybe you could mount a little shelf above the bed for the odd phone / glass of water/ book. Also, personally, I would try to hide the hoover in a closet for aesthetic reasons. Thirdly, I would not allow my paying guests acces to the loft: to dangerous and you could be courting a liability suit if someone fell off the ladder. Please don't be mad, this is just my honest personal opinion, I absolutely adore your house! ❤

First time watcher here, got to your channel through this video recommendation. Your answer about the inaka rice fields got me thinking: how is the bug situation there? haha I know it can be really hot and humid during the summer, but overall how would you rate in terms of bugs around the rice fields and creeks? My long-term goal is getting a house in the countryside and I have never heard anybody specifically talk about that. Anyways, loved your video and your cats, already subscribed. :)

regarding the toilet availability, there are many toilets around in Japan. However in Tokyo the lines for the women restrooms are always SO long. I always found it so crazy that there are so many girls in line to use the restroom there. Also uniquely in Tokyo I found it hard to even get mirror space cause so many girls spend so much time checking their makeup/hair.

I‘ve been thinking about getting a stamp book for my next trip to Japan, but I have no idea how to find them really. 😥 Are they at every big station and tourist information center? And are there other typical „stamping places“ and how do you know where to look for them?🤯

My plan was to study there on a student visa (sadly I can't go under working holiday as an American 🥲) and then hopefullyyy find a job, even if it's just teaching English. That's the only reason I'm even getting a bachelors degree tbh 😂 but I'm curious if you have any tips or other ideas on how to stay? I'd love to shoot for permanent residency if possible but I'm open to anything as long as I can stay a good few years. I'll definitely check out the nomad visa and the cultural study visas some more as well, even though they're short that could be a good first step! After watching your and Chris's videos for years. I am finally getting to go to Japan! I am going to Malaysia for 10 days with my grad school course and then going to spend a week in japan after. I may spending about a day and half in Kyoto then rest of the week in Tokyo and I got reservations for the Pokemon cafer thats a 10 minute walk from my hotel!

In Harajuku I would also suggest checking out La Foret. It's a cool mall jam packed with small boutiques full of Kawaii / Visual Kei and other outlandish fasion. Plus since most tourists mostly know Takeshita and will be drawn into the big name boutiques on the main street it is much quieter.

Garlic milk tea is just a thinner version of garlic alfredo. And the coca cola has citrus, vanilla, and cinnamon. So it's basically a medieval pork roast marinade for the nobility, courtesy of the Silk Road trading routes. Savory spiced pork rolls. And pork and garlic are so tasty. God I love them together.
